		<description>my solution? connect it to something the students do know. everyone is bringing something to the table...you just have to figure out what that something is.  for instance, most of my students remember &quot;grammar&quot; as the thing they hated the most.  but, they *like* music (lyrics), movies (scripts) and--sometimes--stories (magazines. chick lit. sci-fi. etc.).  so, i see it as my job to both connect the grammar i want them to learn to something they already love AND to show them how grammar can actually improve upon what they already love.  the more diverse your student population, the harder (bigger challenge) this is.  but, that&#039;s what we get paid the big bucks for, right?</description>
